   Hello! Welcome to my page. My name is Monica and I'm a single mother of two children. I was born and raised in Torrance. I was first introduced to the world of flowers in 1994, after I graduated from high school. I began college and at the same time I began to work a  part time job at a local flower shop. I had no experience in the floral industry, but my coworkers were my first teachers and I was eager to learn. There I learned the basics of the floral business and began experimenting with the designing process. Through the years, I discovered that the world of flowers was my passion and that I would love to have my own business.

   In 2009, I saw that dream come true and I opened my own flower shop in Torrance- South Bay Flowers 'n' Gifts! I was in business for 9 years and had to close my doors to attend to my mother duties and also because walk-in traffic had dramatically dropped, since most customers were shopping online.  Who knows, maybe one day I can have another little shop open to showcase my work again, but in the meantime I am online to keep my creative hands busy in making bouquets with the purpose of bringing a smile to those who receive them.
